Q: How do I apply to adopt an animal?

A: Our adoption application can be found at: http://2x2rescue.org/Adopt

Q: Can I apply to become a foster parent?

A: 2x2 Rescue is always looking for new foster homes for our animals. Please fill out our foster application at: http://2x2rescue.org/Foster

Q: Why do you ask so many questions on your application?

A: 2x2 Rescue takes great consideration in the selection of rescue animals, spends a great deal of time socializing them, and invests in their medical care. We want to make sure you are sincere and dedicated to maintaining the care and quality of life that we do for this animal.

Q: I found this dog/cat, can you take it?

A: No. We are not an animal control facility. People looking for their lost pets go to animal control facilities to try to locate them.

Q: I can no longer care for my pet, will you take it?

A: No. We do not take owner surrenders due to legal liabilities.

Q: I submitted an application days ago. When will I hear from you?

A: Your application will be reviewed and processed as it comes in. We do call for vet references and some vet's office require your permission to discuss your history. Please be patient. Our adoption coordinator has a full time job and sometimes we receive an influx of applications. We will address every application that comes in as soon as possible.

Q: Can I visit your shelter and see the animal I applied for?

A: We do not have a physical shelter. All our animals are in foster homes with families just like yours. Unless we have an event open to the public, to make the adoption process easier on the foster families you must first have an approved application to meet one of our animals.

Q: I sent my adoption application in first. Will I be the one to get the animal I applied for?

A: We look for the best applicant for our animals. We also want a connection between all parties, so we will consider more than one application to ensure the best forever fit.

Q: If I make a donation to 2x2 Rescue, can I claim it on my taxes?

A: Yes. Because we are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization, that means that you can claim any donations to us on your taxes. When making a donation if you would like a receipt simply let us know and we will get one to you.

Q: Do you have a phone number I can call?

A: We currently do not have a phone number available for people to call. Any inquires can be made to 2x2rescue@gmail.com
